From dairy farm to lakeside tradition

Sun Valley began with one family's dream of affordable family recreation. Bob Minor excavated the lake around the old trees, many of which still stand. Generations of families have spent their summers here since.

  2. 1964The front beach opens on July 1.
  3. 1966The high slide arrives, the first of its size in New England.
  4. 1968The back beach and the first twelve campsites.
  5. 1984The Clubhouse opens on the front beach.
